Musashi Seimitsu who is one of the leading Tier1 auto parts suppliers of motorcycle and automotive products headquartered in Japan announced a strategic partnership with a Silicon Valley solid-state battery technology startup KeraCel.
When capable of being produced in commercial quantities with lower costs, solid-state batteries is said to revolutionize electric vehicles (EVs) and electric motorcycle effectively increasing drivable range or significantly decreasing volume and weight.
Keracel has developed a solid-state battery design and manufacturing method with its unique 3D print manufacturing process.
We think this partnership is a great example of seeking disruption in the industry by combining cutting edge Silicon Valley technology and Japanese manufacturing （ものづくり）and mass production capability.
